La temporada de premios para el cine y la televisión continúan hoy con la entrega de los Critics Choice Awards desde el The Barker Hangar en Santa Mónica, Los Ángeles. Dichos galardones son elegidos por la Critics Choice Association, resultado de la fusión entre la Broadcast Films Critics Association y la Broadcast Television Journalist Association, ambas integradas por el mayor número de críticos en el mundo. Aquí te decimos lo que debes saber antes de la ceremonia con duración de tres horas, a fin de que la disfrutes como se debe. 

La anfitriona

La comediante y presentadora Chelsea Handler será la voz cantante de la ceremonia; además, entre quienes subirán a entregar premios se encuentran los actores: Margot Robbie, Gael García Bernal, David Duchovny, Angela Bassett, Carla Gugino y Brendan Fraser. Para su transmisión -por TNT- en México se contará con los comentarios de Ileana Rodríguez y Rafael Sarmiento, más la traducción de Flor Coianis.

México, presente 

Como ya se ha hecho una costumbre, el cinefotógrafo mexicano Rodrigo Prieto llega a la entrega con dos oportunidades para pelear la estatuilla en la categoría de su especialidad -Mejor fotografía-, por su trabajo en “Barbie” y “Los asesinos de la luna”.

Premio a la trayectoria 

Harrison Ford, con una filmografía que rebasa las 80 producciones de cine y tv, como “Indiana Jones” y “Star Wars”, será reconocido en la entrega de los premios, al cual por cierto está nominado este año por su trabajo en la serie televisiva “Shrinking”.

Las más nominadas

“Barbie” -líder en taquilla del 2023-, con 18 nominaciones, es la principal contendiente en la rama de cine. En segundo sitio se encuentran, con 13 oportunidades cada una, los filmes “Oppenheimer” y “Poor Things”. La serie “The Morning show”, de Apple TV, con seis nominaciones incluyendo Serie Drama y Actriz con Jennifer Aniston, encabeza la rama de TV; seguida por “Succession”, considerada en cinco categorías, incluyendo a Kieran Culkin en Mejor actor.
